UIR lecturer selected for visiting research scholar program at Harvard University through Fulbright

Dr Evizal Abdul Kadir joined research at Harvard University in the US. After though selection, Evizal was awarded visiting research scholar opportunity under Fullbright-AMINEF sponsor. Evizal explained that he had a join research with a professor at School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS) Harvard University. They researched on Enviromental Monitoring System using Nano Sensors Integrated to Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) and Internet of Things (IoT) Technology.

Dr. Rendi Prayuda, S.IP., M.Si Has Been Elected as a Consultant Research at the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime.

Dr Rendi Prayuda, a lecturer of International Relation Universitas Islam Riau, was selected to be research consultant for Global Maritime Crime at The UN office on Drug and Crime. He was officially assigned by Regional Office For Southeast Asia and The Pacific United Nations Office On Drugs and Crime (UNODC). Rendi is the only researcher from Indonesia to take part in the research on drugs at Indonesia-Malaysia border.

International Relation lecture awarded Fulbright Scholarship to study at The State University of New York, Binghamton.

A lecturer from International Relation department, Dini Tioara Sasmi, is awarded Fullbright scholarship to continue her PhD at The State University of New York, Bingminton after tight selection at AMINEF.

Dosen Teknik UIR raih USD 5000 pada Grand Internasional JASTIP Jepang

Dosen prodi teknik informatika Universitas Islam Riau mendapatkan dana penelitian sebesar USD 5000 pada Grand Internasional dari Japan-Asean Science, Technology and Innovation Platform (JASTIP) dengan proposal penelitian yang berjudul “Analysis of Haze Concentration in Particulate Matter (PM 2.5) caused by Forest Fires for Smart City based on Internet of Things Technology”.

Diketuai oleh Dr. Evizal,ST, M.Eng, berkolaborasi dengan tiga negara yaitu Indonesia, Malaysia dan Jepang, dari 100 lebih proposal yang masuk, yang diterima hanya 31 proposal penelitian, dan Universitas Islam Riau berhasil masuk dalam salah satu proposal yang diterima tersebut. Adapun perguruan tinggi kolaborasi dari UIR-Indonesia, Universitas Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), dan Kyoto University, Japan.Berikut anggota dari tiga negara yaitu Dr. Arbi Haza Nasution (UIR-Indonesia), Prof. Dr. Sharul Kamal Abdul Rahim (UTM-Malaysia), dan Prof. Dr. Shoichiro Hara (Kyoto-Jepang). Dengan terpilihnya Universitas Islam Riau dan didanai program tersebut maka diharapkan supaya UIR dapat berkonstribusi secara umum dan khusus pada Propinsi Riau dan Indonesia.
